i have been a patient of Medyk for over 2 years. i decided to proceed with having an implant done there and pre paid £200 in first installment.
then i was refused treatment until i agree to have my id scaned or a photo taken!! Medyk say it's a new regulation - a one they forgot to mention before charging me! Awful service

Company response : Since April 2011 all dental practices must be registered with Care Quality Commision. 2 years ago there was no such regulation. We are obligated to keep all patient data in good order so we are updating our patient data base. All patients are asked to provide id or photo once they show up or register in our practice. This action will help to fight fraud and identity stealing. All GPs will ask you to provide id and proof of address.
